back to Maybe Tomorrow
A 6" wide strip of heavy roving woven fiberglass cloth saturated with clear polyester resin is laid up on an arch-shaped form. So cast and cured, this skin is fastened on each side to three horizontal rods anchored with setscrews to a pair of cables which pass through them and are held in tension from floor to ceiling by turnbuckles, suspending the arch and holding it still in the air between them. One leg of the skin, when cast, was allowed to kick back slightly as though blown off vertical through the arch. That gesture cast in red polyester gives a nod to the difference between what's forward and what's beyond.
